Families, culture and discipline are intertwined in ways  that fascinate me.  So many factors influence how we      raise our children- some we are aware of, some not.         Intentional parenting means always striving to be           emotionally honest- with ourselves and others.

Everyone brings real talent to parenting.  The key is     tapping into what you know versus learning new           skills. Your approach has to feel natural because you're   tested more when upset! Most folks can enjoy the            adventure of raising children- and it requires more          effort for some than others.

Who isn't overwhelmed- between juggling and          learning the latest "do's" and "don'ts"The primary         nurturer is supposed to stay home and maintain a           fabulous career. Dad's want to be more involved but       still be guys about it, too. It's tempting to reach for         perfection, ignoring the high cost to everyone.

Parents and children thrive best in tribes- with teens   camping nearby, rejoining as needed. Today's tribes        only look different. A great deal of love and energy can   be wasted if couples view parenting as a nuclear family    task. Healthy families grow in homes and communities-  not malls.

Families are increasingly multi-cultural, which creates   new challenges and complexities, (especially around        discipline), in schools and communities. To ignore the     power imbalances a fast-growing number of today's        families face is to erase their differences.

My coaching draws on the strengths of your               culture, family, values and experience.  Zenith is the        highest point. You get there by creating a balance            between adult needs and childrens, leading instead of      ignoring or over-parenting and focusing on the goal.
